n the eighteenth century, breeding of silkworms spread out in the Cevennes and the Provencal countrysides. This activity led to the construction of specific buildings called "magnaneries", from the Provencal word "magnan" which means silkworm. The magnaneries can be easily spotted out in the landscape because of their specific architecture.

owadays, silkworms are not reared anymore there and the magnanerie has been converted into a charming country gîte that rates "4 épis" in the Gîtes de France grades (Ref: GR2005). This gîte can accommodate up to 6 people.

ocated in the countryside, the Magnanerie is a gîte that has a lot of character. Stenciled decorations, lime wall paintings and Provencal patina contributes to a refined scene that will delight you. The private swimming pool, 200 meters away from the Magnanerie, will welcome you for pleasant relaxation moments.
